Adam Jenkins (Rain Maker)

Joined us first as a scout leader progressing through the training scheme. He is now working towards his NBG awards . Adam is our bad weather mascot as wherever we go with him it will always rain. He is a county climbing instructor

Alec Carr (Chief)

Alec Carr (Chief) - Is the County Climbing Adviser. Alec has over 30 years of experience in both rock climbing and mountaineering and has climbed in all the major and some not so major locations around the UK both in summer and winter. He has climbed a large number of 4000 meter plus mountains in the European Alps and is on a mission to complete the rest. He is responsible for the training, assessing and development of climbing in Bucks.

Alex Huggins (Half Pint)

Alex joined the club as a scout and progressed through the training scheme to become a competent and independent climber. He left us for a while to attend university and to purse his own personal climbing. He now climbs harder and stronger than some of the instructors that taught him. Alex is a county climbing instructor

Andy Elliot (Tall Andy)

Andy is an enthusiastic climber and has made several trips to the Alps mountaineering he also enjoys his skiing. His other passion is cycling a bit of a “roadie” who cuts a dash in lycra. He is a county climbing instructor

Ben Keen

Ben is a Mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. He also coaches the Fundamentals element of the log book syllabus.Keen by name Keen by nature Ben is an enthusiastic climber both in summer and winter he loves his annual trip to the Alps mountaineering. His other passion is mountain biking. He is a county climbing instructor

Chris Park (LIttle Chris)

Chris is one of the coordinators for the young climbers club. He is responsible for instructing and coaching the club members. Administration of the logbook and training scheme is also his responsibility. A bit of A Mr Fix It. He is also an experienced cross country skier in and around Scandinavia. Chris is a County Instructor and Assessor.

Chris Oliver (Lionel)

A mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. Chris responsible for communication and liaison with Scout membership. He is a keen member of the team and always on the lookout for new climbing partners and venues to further his skills both socially and technically. He is a county climbing instructor

David Bush

A mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. Performs as the elder statesman for the club. Dave came to climbing later in life and is passionate and enthusiastic about the sport. He is a County Climbing Instructor

Denise Carr (Dee)

Dee is the club and county team welfare officer. She is also responsible for bookings at the climbing wall and catering on the young climber’s weekend. Keeps Alec in line and generally organizes the team. She will only climb when a camera is pointing in her direction Also she makes a wicked cup of tea

Dom Clatworthy (Brian)

Dom is a budding adventurer and explorer and loves travelling. Loves to carry rocks in his rucksack for the fun of it (ask Tally Andy & Neal about it). An enthusiastic climber who is always up for a new challenge. Dom is a county climbing instructor.

Jason King

Jason has been a member of the climbing team for a very long time although he was previously one of our first participants of the training scheme. Now based in Sheffield he is still involved with the training. He is also an enthusiastic mountaineer and has been active in the Alps climbing many 4000 meter peaks. He has also done a lot of travelling and climbing in far flung places of the world. Jay is a county climbing instructor and assessor.

John Bishop (Bish)

Bish is our technical adviser and provides our SPA & CWA courses. He provides support and back up to Alec for instructor training and workshops. He has been climbing and mountaineering even longer than Alec. Bish also has a great passion in no particular order for cycling, lycra ,beer, good food , practical jokes.

Keith Hildreth (Dougal)

A Coordinator for the young climbers club. He is Responsible for organizing young climbers trips and the administration of the logbook and training scheme. Dougal is an experienced climber and has been known to climb the odd gritstone route with a broken ankle (a true hard man). He is county Instructor and Assessor.

Neal Smith (Sleepy)

Neal is a mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. He also is a transport manager for the team (owns a nice white van). Neal has the ability to sleep anywhere and in any conditions hence his nickname. Also the teams practical joker so watch out!. He is a County Climbing Instructor.

Ron Murray (Big Ron)

Rod is a mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. He is transport manager for their trips away. A true Grit stone thug when climbing in the Peak District. He is a county climbing instructor.

Simon Oliver

A mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. He also coaches the Fundamentals element of the log Book syllabus. Simon is our Web site and IT guru. He enjoys pushing his climbing grade and also a enthusiastic alpinist and mountaineer. He is a county climbing instructor

Steve Rogers (Mr Grey)

Steve is a mentor for the young climbers helping them to navigate the log book scheme. He introduced a very young scout called Alec to climbing many years ago - so guess his age is the name of the game! Steve is a county climbing Instructor. He has a passion for all things grey or beige

Sue Wills

Sue first joined us a scout leader going through the training scheme many years ago and now is a very experienced instructor. She is a county climbing instructor.
